The National Council of Sports (NCS) has secured Shs 5m to facilitate the new probe committee investigating corruption in Ugandan football. Mr Jasper Aligawesa, the NCS vice chairman, disclosed to The Monitor that league sponsors Nile Breweries Ltd gave the committee Shs2.5 m last week, and NCS has added the same amount.

A committee set up by the National Football League Committee (NFLC) to probe alleged wrongdoing after SC Villa’s 22-1 goal win against a 9-man Akol team has finally published its findings that found our club innocent of any corruption or wrongdoing.
