Founded in the early 1970s as Nakivubo Boys, SC Villa is the
most successful Ugandan club at both local and international

The Jogoos alias The Blues as they are also known because
of their blue and white colours won promotion into top flight
football (Super Division) in 1978, and have never fallen back.
In fact their worst league position has been 3rd and 4th in
1985 and 1997, respectively.
The team was re-named Nakivubo Villa in 1978 and finally
became SC Villa in 1981 under their inspirational chairman

Between 1981 and 2001 SC Villa have won 12 league titles and
seven knockout Uganda Cups (now Kakungulu Cup).
SC Villa also won the prestigious CECAFA club championships
in 1987.
At continental level SC Villa played two consecutive finals

Having won every thing on the local scene, the club now aims
for more silverware at the international stage.
