Today
Police v City Lads
Express v Boroboro
Mbale v Kinyara
Yesterday’s result
Simba 3-1 Bunamwaya

The fixture against Boroboro today at Wankulukuku stadium provides Express FC with the perfect chance to put brakes on their wretched form that has left them delicately hovering over the relegation zone.

The Red Eagles, who have not won a league game since December, are in dire need of maximum points to at least salvage what remains of a bad season. But having lost to many lightweight clubs, the three points are subject to the 90 minutes.

Tactician Ibrahim Buwembo, knowing the depths in which the club is plunged, insisted that today’s game against Boroboro is a must-win stating that the team needed such a fixture to revive their season.

“This is the sort of game we needed to come back, I am sure we shall get a better result. It is such a game that teams like Express need to bounce back,” Buwembo said confidently.

Elsewhere Police FC seeks to further its winning streak, since the turn of the second round, when they face off with relegation troubled City Lads at Nakivubo stadium. If the Cops’ run is anything to go by then their quest to dislodge URA atop the league table will not be shaken. Police have won their previous fixtures (3-0 Maji, 2-0 Mukono, 1-0 Express, 1-0 Mbale Heroes).

Meanwhile KCC tactician Jackson Mayanja is still upbeat about his club’s league fortunes despite their lukewarm start to the second round.

“We can’t win all the games in a season, there is always a time when you slip but we are still optimistic and the moment we click, it will be done,” Mayanja said. KCC have not won a single game since the second round kicked off.
