The SC Villa 'Double Victory' party organised
by fans at Namboole, December 21, 2002 was billed a huge success.
About 2,000 guests attended the party that was spiced by live
band music, Matali (Islamic) performers, and other innovative
forms of entertainment.
"This is the best party we have had since the days of
the [late Mzee Patrick] Kawooya," an excited fan was
overheard saying.
Kawooya was club chairman till December 1993, when he was
replaced by current president, Mr. Francisco Mugabe.
Guest of Honour, Maj. Gen. James Kazini, was kept away by
State duties but he sent a message promising SC Villa Shs
5 million for tracksuits and jerseys for continental (CAF)
and CECAFA assignments.
It's the second set of uniforms Kazini buys for SC Villa.
The team never lost a single match in the first set of jerseys
Kazini donated.
SC Villa officials, players and fans expect another good
run of luck with Kazini's new uniforms. |
