JOVIA Akandwanaho, wife of the Rtd. General Salim Saleh Akandwanaho will preside over the opening ceremony of the Owino market SC Villa fans club this afternoon.

This was revealed by the club's fans coordinator Ben Immanuel Misagga. He told Daily Monitor that in their bid to attract more fans to the stadia and also secure more sources of income to the club's treasury, they were to go on with their idea of creating branches for fans in all parts of the country.

"We have already opened a number of branches upcountry, but we need to strengthen our base in the centre of the city. If you open branches in places like Nakasero and Owino, then you are assured of atleast 3,000 or 4,000 people to begin with," said Misagga.

He also urged other clubs to borrow a leaf from Villa and open branches so that they can get their fans back to watch games and also to bring about better competition.
