SC Villa’s executive has clarified that
the appointment of Fred Muwema as the head of
legal and compliance services is not meant to
antogonise local football governing body Fufa.
Muwema was federation legal affairs boss until
he resigned in solidarity with former marketing
guru Denis Mbidde.
SC Villa General Secretary Edward Luyimbazi Mugalu
told Daily Monitor that the appointments are intended
to strengthen the club's image and create avenues
through which they can generate income.
“The coming on board of Muwema is not to
start a war with Fufa, we are aware of the differences
of the two parties but our relationship with Fufa
is bigger than that with the new people on board,”
he said.
